I started this blog several years ago in an attempt to read 100,000 pages in one single year.
Needless to say I barely made it to February before I lost track and gave up keeping a total.
I was thinking about that old goal today and I decided I wanted to revisit it. But in an updated, more realistic way. Because 100,000 pages in a single year is...ambitious.
100,000 pages / 365 days = 273.97 pages a day needed.
That is basically a book a day.
And while that isn't completely out of the question on some days, I do work a 40+ hour week and would like to keep some semblance of my life in tack. (Which is basically a love affair with Netflix and Network television shows. And football.)
So what I've decided is to start again with a 100,000 page goal. Just without the time deadline. I want to see how long it really takes me.
Plus this is motivation to up my reading which has dwindled off recently. And that makes me sad.
With that I'm beginning today.
I have a laundry list of books I want to read or re-read and this is some extra motivation to jump in with two feet.
I'll be keeping a running total of pages and will include book reviews (even if I've read them before) and synopsis's while I go.
Also, if you have book recommendations I'll take those too! I'm always looking for fun new books to read and I love just about every genre.
If you've made it through this post, thanks for reading! I hope you come back and read more!
